I am thrilled to hear that some people have read my post and are excited about spreading the love!! Welcome to my first two followers:)
Since I launched this blog, I have to admit that the familiar enemies have change have been clinging to me... doubt and fear!!
I'm suddenly afraid that I'll have nothing of value to write here... or that I won't have time... or that I'll fail to make any significant difference.... or.... or .... or.... why is it that I am so reluctant to be all that I can be??
Interesting...
I found a quote today that really caught my attention: Love is not blind - it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less. ~Julins Gordon
What do you think of this? It made me stop dead in my tracks of trying to be perfect in this pursuit and just to move past fear and doubt... and to remember that love overcomes fear and doubt everytime.
This reminded me that love is willing (perhaps can't help but) to look past imperfections and annoyances... so for today, I will have more patience and more concern for others... that is the focus for today:)

Fresh picked strawberries are truly a delight! i love them:)
I spent two mornings in the berry patch this last week with my kids filling our baskets with these tiny little treasures. Josiah even filled a 4 liter bucket all by himself. Davey and Taliah had fun dawdling in the rows, robbing my basket to fill theirs... needless to say I picked for the three of us. I still smile as I remember their red stained chins... obvious evidence to their "secret" sampling.
We then came home and made strawberry jam. A true northern delicacy and feel good past time. It is a lot of work, but I get so much satisfaction in seeing those shiny red jars all lined up on the counter. Even better is the joy on a friend's face as I hand them a jar!
Sharing is one of the simplest ways I have found to show love.
Lovin' from the oven has taken root in my heart as I pursue the good old fashion idea of encouraging others with goodies from my kitchen.
I think hospitality is coming back into style with the home perm :)LOL I'm going now to dig out the rollers now and while its setting I'll be... cookin' up some kindness ...in the kitchen.
Thank you "cookin"!! Love you too, and loved your comment!
This quote is inspiring me to be less judgmental. It is so true that love sees more and then in turn should choose to see less. I think this is what God does for us and we then, in turn, choose to do for others. Grace.
Thanks Emily, for being gracious to yourself, transparent with your feelings,,, and for blogging on in courage.
Love takes courage.
